*AP English Language & Composition:
College-level course focused on developing students’ skills in rhetorical analysis and effective writing. Students study a variety of nonfiction texts to understand how authors use language to persuade, inform, and motivate audiences. The course emphasizes critical reading, argument construction, and the use of evidence to support claims. Through frequent writing assignments, students refine their abilities in crafting clear, coherent, and persuasive essays. This rigorous course prepares students for the AP exam and enhances their readiness for college-level writing and communication.
*AP World History:
students will explore the major themes and skills necessary to analyze historical events and developments. The course is divided into nine units, each focusing on a different period and topic in world history. The units delve into specific topics such as trade networks, land-based empires, transoceanic interconnections, revolutions, consequences of industry, global conflict, Cold War and decolonization, and globalization. Students will examine the expansion of trade, the rise and strategies of land-based empires, the exploration and colonization of the Americas, Africa, and Asia, the Age of Revolutions, the consequences of industrialization, global conflicts in the 20th century, the Cold War and decolonization, and the processes and effects of globalization.
*AP Physics:
College-level course that explores fundamental concepts in mechanics, electricity, magnetism, and waves. Students develop a strong foundation in problem-solving and quantitative reasoning through hands-on experiments and mathematical analysis. The course emphasizes understanding core physical principles and applying them to real-world situations. Students learn to interpret data, construct models, and communicate scientific ideas effectively. This rigorous course prepares students for the AP Physics exam and further study in science and engineering fields.
*AP Calculus:
College-level course that covers concepts of differential and integral calculus. Students explore limits, derivatives, integrals, and the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus with a focus on problem-solving and real-world applications. The course emphasizes analytical thinking, precise mathematical reasoning, and the ability to model and solve complex problems. Students develop skills in interpreting functions, rates of change, and areas under curves. This rigorous course prepares students for the AP Calculus exam and further studies in mathematics, science, and engineering.
Business Management:
This course introduces students to fundamental concepts of business management, including planning, organizing, leading, and controlling within organizations. Students explore topics such as decision-making, teamwork, communication, and ethical business practices. The course covers key areas like marketing, finance, human resources, and operations management. Through case studies and practical activities, students develop problem-solving and leadership skills. By the end of the course, students gain a solid understanding of how businesses operate and the skills needed to manage teams effectively.
Principles of Business, Marketing, & Finance:
This course provides an introduction to the core concepts of business, marketing, and finance. Students learn about business structures, marketing strategies, consumer behavior, and financial management basics. Emphasis is placed on understanding how businesses operate and compete in the marketplace. Through real-world examples and projects, students develop skills in communication, decision-making, and financial literacy. The course prepares students for further study in business-related fields and introduces foundational knowledge for future careers.
